Your young person may be searching for his or her first job directly out of high school, after attending college or a training program, or after discharge from the military. Where your child is in his or her career will affect the job search process. Oregon Career Resources
Oregon Career Information System (CIS) is a comprehensive career resource to schools, colleges, public agencies, and businesses that brings together the kinds of information and tools needed by career decision-makers of all ages. All Employment Department offices and most One-Stops in Oregon have CIS available to their customers. Career assessment tools, occupational information, and job search advice can help your young person transition to work. Ask the One-Stop center staff about how to access it. (CIS is a password protected site.)
